The Zaporizhzhya region makes 6% of Ukrainian foreign economic operations taking the fourth place after Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions and Kiev.
The region has a positive export-import balance during the last years. The share of the exported production reached 40% in the whole volume.
The product structure of export is very diverse but the main exporting items are iron, color metals and metal goods; electrical and mechanical machinery and mechanisms, chemical products.
Risks of the region's enterprises related to foreign economic activities are insured by Ukrainian leading insurance companies, and are reinsured by world's leading reinsurance companies when necessary.
