Labor Market
The labor market in Zaporizhzhya region has a number of opportunities for investors because of certain features:
· high level of qualification and education of the personnel
· considerable employment competition, that is excessive labor supply under conditions of high level of the covert and fixed unemployment
· possibility to control the labor resources on the regional and local levels ( by population employment centers )
· Good growth possibilities due to the presence of large number of educational institutions in the area.

The population of this region is 2044,6 thousand people. With 1,3 mln of whom are of working age. 60% of all population is concentrated in four major cities in the region: Zaporizhzhya, Berdyansk, Melitopol and Energodar.

About 42 % (0.6 mln) of people aged between 20 and 49 years (the basis of the labor market) are occupied in physical production.
The cost of the labor in the region is higher than the average cost in Ukraine but lower than in other eastern European regions with same level of industrial development.
